Old Ford Farm Building 2

The 1740 map shows a building next to Old Ford Farm is also shown in the 1794 map. It is on a right angled bend of what was probably a leat or waterway used to power a water mills so it is the best prospect of a Grist mill refereed to in 1740 and 1766 although other buildings may have been mills at other times on Lower Street and the Litton road .
It was a Waldegrave property in the Town tithing and the Culliford family held the lase in the 18th Century but other families may have run the mill.
Plot number 132 in 1839 includes several buildings but the proposed mill was next to plot 130.
