Kingshill House
Kingshill Hill House is on Lower Street next to Kingshill Cottages. The 1740 map shows there was a single building there. The 1794 and 1839 maps both show a single building but whilst there is a clear separation between Kingshill House and the row of cottages. The house were built by the Waldegraves and is a possible alternative to Waldegrave House as the home of some of the estate managers. |
It takes its name from Kingshill which may take its name from the Kingsmills family. |
