Litton Field

There are references to an estate called Litton Field  in the 1785 sale of part of Parsonage Farm when it was given the number 22. However, there were three or four blocks of land named ‘Litton’ in the 1794 map. There are a number of properties on the Litton Road which may have included a field called Litton Field. Some of the fields marked as Litton in the 1794 map can be recognised in the 1766 map.
There are two blocks of land close to the Litton parish boundary and one block behind  Chew Down which is closer to Ston Easton than Litton.
No refernces to Litton Field have yet been found in the 18th century churchwarden and poor law records.
