Tucker

John Tucker was recorded as a tenant of Whitnell, Emborough in 1580 and members of the family appear in the records of Chewton Mendip up to the modern era. They are not shown as land owners in the 1794 map  but they are shown to have estates in Widcombe and possibly  East End and West End  tithing. There are several references to members of the Tuckers in the Poor laws.
