Furze

James Furze moved from Dinder to Tor Hole, Chewton Mendip, c1906 when his children attended Chewton Mendip School. He was probably the James Furze who was head gamekeeper for he Waldegraves in 1935.

He had a large family and initailay he was described as living at Tor Hole in n the school register but later records describe him as living in Eakers Hill. However, both descriptions could fit Keepers Cottage.
