Pullin

 Graham Pullin and milk float 1968The Pullin family moved into Chewton Mendip when leonard Pullin of Marshefield  married Alice Middlefamily.Graham started as an errand boy for the local shop and worked in that rolefor eight years before going t work in Patchway to work the aircraft industry. He was in the Home Guard in World War Two and was also a bell ringer and cricketer.

He set up milk delivery round and was joined by his brothers, Colin and Desmond. They can be seen in a picture taken in the Village Hall shortly after the war.

The set up a business in the Liton Road in 1951 which had already been taken over by Mendip Dairies of wells when this picture was published in the Shepton Mallet Journel on 31st may 1968. The dairy has subsequently closed down and the site is now used for selling cars.
