Chick Lane

Chick Lane is named on a modern map but not on the 1794 map . It leads from Chew Down  to Ston Easton. What was Adam’s lane leads in the other direction. Part of the The Moore estate can be seen on either side.

It is generally described as being in the East End tithing but it may be linked to properties in the Town tithing. Chick Lane is mentioned in the 1766 ledgers and the 1839 tithe map so it is a good reference point for identify where fields or farms were situated.
