Ferris

The Ferris  family first appear in 1839 when it is assumed that two brothers, Simon and Uriah Ferris were occupying several farms.

Simon Ferris was shown as occupying Willets Farm  whilst Uriah was shown as occupying Dudwell and Wigmore farms in 1840. However, they did not appear to be residents in the 1841 census suggesting that the lived outside the village but rented the farm land.
