Parsons

Eleanor Parsons was buried in Chewton mendip on 18/4/1639. A Widow Parsons was paying an estate in the West End according to the churchwarden accounts but it is not shown in the 1794 map. A Samuel Parsons was paying poor rates for the Webb estate in Widcombe in the middle of the 18th century.

Betty Parsons married  Thomas Loxton in 1807. They were both living in Pilton but they may have been linked with Chewton Mendip.

Other members of the family may have lived in Chewton Mendip during the early to middle 18th century. George Parsons was living in East End  when his children attended Chewton Mendip school in 1875.
