Fry

Jane Fry was in receipt of poor relief from Chewton Mendip c 1729-1730 but there are earlier references to other family in he area.

Various members of the Fry family attended Chewton Mendip school in the Victorian era.

Elizabeth Fry was born in 1838 in Bristol. She married Frederick William Curtis in 1861 in Bristol. She went to live in Chewton Mendip.
