Paynes Garage NedgeHis first garage was based in Nedge and was originally a Wesleyan Chapel.  The building in the centre has been demolished but the white picket fence and the building on the left are still in place.
Paynes garage centreHis second garage was in the centre of the village opposite the shop. It was known as Waldegrave Garage when the Paynes ran it. It was built on the site of the ‘old’ Waldegrave Arms. These photographs were originally supplied by Mary Payne and copies have been provided  by Tom Randall
